It’s spring break! Which means a week off from waking up early and getting my eldest ready for school. And the perfect week to travel without finding some lame excuse or feeling guilty for pulling her out. Of course we try to come up with big plans to get away, like a trip to San Diego or Disneyland. But like a lot of plans nowadays, because my current money situation isn’t the most ideal, it usually falls apart. So instead we find things to do locally, which brings us to Children’s Fairyland.
If you’ve never heard of Fairyland, read my guide here I posted earlier this week. To my surprise, the Children’s Fairyland Facebook page shared it ? and although Katrina La Vie has no Facebook page (yet), I wanted to let them know how much I appreciate the acknowledgement! It was unexpected and truly made my day. So thank you!
My little chicas and I went to Fairyland earlier this week. We’ve been lucky with the wonderful weather in the Bay Area for my daughters spring break. With the amount of times we visit Children’s Fairyland it’s a wonder why we haven’t taken advantage of the Family Membership program. I always think to myself “I won’t be back for a while“. But we do, year after year. It’s a fun place to get together with friends and their kids. Or to walk around on a not so crowded afternoon.
I prefer quieter times at the park which is why I tend to avoid weekends. The morning we went was packed! With multiple field trips going on. The energy of the park felt a bit different since we’re so used to the slower pace. All the crowds cleared out by noon. I decided to film my kids and the park that day, resulting in the short video above. Watch and I hope you like the first Katrina La Vie video 😉 also on my YouTube channel. More to come in the future!
I love the colors and touch of whimsy found all throughout the park ? if you don’t have time for the video, keep on scrolling to see the magic of Fairyland on a warm spring day.
